Things to do at Pine Lodge

  • Horse riding – Suitable for all abilities and children. For more experienced riders we offer Safari Day Rides, where we stop at a local inn for lunch. You can find out more about the different rides we offer on the Pine Lodge Riding website. Please mention if you would like to ride when you book your stay and we can arrange this for you.
  • Walking – There are lots of local routes across rolling farmland, wooded valleys and moorland with opportunities to see wild red deer, Exmoor ponies and other fauna and flora. Both the Exmoor Society and the National Park Authority offer guided walks throughout the year and it is worth checking out their websites to see what’s happening locally.
  • Cycling – There are lots of great cycling trails over the moor if you want to bring your bike with you. You can also hire bikes and other equipment from Exmoor Adventures, based near Porlock Weir.
  • Relax – The cottages offer a comfortable place to unwind at a slower pace, away from the distractions of modern life. Exmoor was the first place in Europe to be designated as a dark sky reserve so if you enjoy star spotting, bring your telescope along!
